The most important holiday in Taiwan is the lunar New Year. It is a long holiday in Januery or February. During this time, people who live away from home return to be with relatives and friends. On Chinese New Year's Eve, family sit around the table, eat a feast and talk to each other.
It's a merry time for children, because they can eat candy and cake and set off firecrackers. As red is a propitious color to the Chinese, adults put money in red envelopes. They give red envelopes to all of their children and hope that everything will be wonderful for them in the coming year.
Traditionally, Chinese are going to have a family reunion. Everyone visits relatives and friends and exchanges best wishes with them.

Ways to meet people in a new place
Meeting people is a very important skill in this modern society. Learning to meet new people takes time and practice. So consider these suggestions to meet people lasting friendships.
If you have an unfriendly countenance, people are less likely to be receptive to your friendship. So, Make eye contact and smile is the first step. Share things with others. Just be yourself and find people that share the same interests and sence of humor as you. Playing games....etc. Self introducing towards the end of the conversation, and you can chat with people to find comme interests.
Whatever you do, do not be afraid to introduce yourself and just let loose! Being put into a totally new place with totally new people is never an easy thing to handle, but it can definitely work out well for you if you are open and sociable. Learning to easily meet new people can open doors in life, not only doors to new relationships, but aslo to new friendships, new career opportunities.

My New School Life
I have long hoped to become a college student. I made up my mind to be a college student and specialize in English for several years.
English is a universal language, on the other hand, it make us to understand the world better. Knowing another foreign language means to possess another fortune. So I have to do my best, to work hard to fulfill my ambition. Though I have encountered many difficulties, I’ll never lose heart. And success will certainly come to me after all.

My Favorite Activity
My favorite activity is playing Kendo. I started playing when I was in college . I began playing it because the Japanese manga. So I joined the school clob.
Before I started go to Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, I praticed Kendo three times a week. It is good for me both physically and mentally. Physically, it helps me maintain my strength and endurance and keep my weight down, that is very important to women. Mentally, it provides me with an interesting challenge and is a good way to relieve any frustrations which I have from school or work. I really love it!

Birthday party
I attended my best friend’s surprise birthday party lastweek. It was held at Friday's restaurant to celebrate her thirty birthday.
That day after work , I took her to the restaurant on the Tun Hwa Southroad. While we were there, her other friends had arrived. After dinner, we all sang Happy Birthday to her. She was surprised and happy!
Afterwards we all ate birthday cake, chated and laughed until 11 o’clock. It was a great and memorable birthday party!

A Person Who Has Made A Difference
When I was a junior at Citi bank. There were a lot of encouragement courses, but a short film that I am impressed.
The short film is about an America bus driver- Sam. When he is on duty. He gives every passenger a friendly smile and a cheerful greeting when they board the bus. Along the way, he always sings songs and invites passengers to sing together. The bus fulls of laugh and joy. Whenever passengers get off the bus, he gives a sweet blessing. They will not forget the trip.
This is such a difficult thing to influence a stranger. Passengers forget the negative mood before.The bus driver inspires everyone, include me. That is just a simple job, but he decides a different way to do. Do not think you are negligible, everyone is important.

I went to see the documentary "This is it" The movie is about my favorite singer Michael Jackson,who was practicing for the concert of London. He was a singer, a dancer, a musician, a producer and a philanthropist.He inspired a lot of young people around the world.He had also made a lot of record that none can not achieve yet.He passed away on June 25th 2009,When I saw the news on the yahoo, I thought it is a stupid joke. But when I saw it again on the TV, I can speak a word for a few mintues.what a pity ! A talented person disappear, like a comet, blazing cross the evening sky gone too soon.....
