There are many different kinds of environmental pollution which were caused by human beings. Such as air pollution, water pollution, garbage pollution, and deforestation. In modern cities, the coverage becomes more obvious and more extensive.
Scientists and environmental researchers began to be concerned about it. One of the most important and serious is the air pollution. Air pollution can seriously affect the personal health, ecosystems and society. Pollution results from human activities and industrial productions. In recent years, scientists reveal that the pollution will effect the whole world. For example, people burned coal in England, produced carbon dioxide, it will cause harm of the people’s health. Air pollution is the main reason that the lung cancer mortality continue raising. London is the notorious city for the air pollution. People who live in London with heart and lung problems can be at risk.
Another important one is water pollution. Although the earth is 70% covered by water, but there are less than 1% of fresh water resources can be used.
Fresh water often be polluted by the human activities, including domestic, industrial sewage and agricultural sewage. Polluted water will cause the death of aquatic living, and spread of infectious diseases; indeed, reduce the production of crops.
Air pollution and water pollution cause several serious problems worldwide.
The situation becomes worse and worse. Individual and government must find ways to slow the rate of these pollutions before that is too late.

The Alternative Energy Sources: Solar Energy
In my opinion, solar energy will be more widely used in the near future. As most of people have known that the sun is a renewable and easily receive energy source. And the natural scientists infer that the sun will expected to shine for 5 billion years at least. The solar energy is non pollution and productive. But one of the most effected drawbacks is too expensive. It cost too much to produce the energy. The next drawback is been limited by terrain and climate. Furthermore, it is inefficiency a cloudy day or a rainy day. Scientists are devoted to cost savings. Solar energy will be wide use in near future.
After rain comes sunshine
Money is not everything, however, you can not do anything without money. The idiom we have already heard. There are some impressions about my family environment.
My father who was a business man owned three shops at the same time, we do not have to worried about money since we were born. There are three children in my family, we live in plenty. We always get the latest toys or comic books. But my father was ungratified, besides the daily business income, he put the money into the unknown investment with his friends. Rapidly, he lost all his property and to be in debt. My parents sold out two shops and barrowed some money from the relatives. My father can not accept this situation, and he was very depressed everyday. This was the most difficult period of his life. Almost at the same time, he was checked suffered from cancer. He had an operation and received the chemotherapy. But he was a not good patient, and he did not follow the doctor’s advice. His condition became worse and worse. He passed away in two years, I was seventeen that year. It was really hard to a teenager to understand.
My mother had to undertake the responsibility immediately, no matter the debts or children. I wanted to reduce my mother’s press. I got a part time job after class. I earned the money for schooling and living expenses. My brother got a great job in a airline company. He also help my mother share the responsibility. After I graduated from college, I got a job in the customer service department of the bank. My job contains customers’ information, problem solving, and to deal with complains. This is not my favorite work, but I can get good salary and shift allowance. After four years, our family financial status becomes relieved, and allowing us to live better lives.

How to Relax at the End of a Difficult Day
It is inexistent that the life is without pressure. In other words, the pressure is a reaction to the challenges. Losing the goal or challenge, people will be bored and will not make any progress. In this modern life, everyone feels different kinds of stress. The three main causes of pressure are work, living, and personality. At work, you might be an employee, a manager, or a colleague. After work, you become a wife or a husband, parents, even someone’s friend. We would like to give consideration to both sides, therefore, we get more and more pressures.
Whenever I have pressure , I will try all available methods to relax myself. There are many method of relieve the stress, such as meditative, exercise, massage, eating…etc. The effective way is different from person to person. In my way, I usually find a friend who can share my worries, and express my feelings. The next choice is listening to the music or singing out loud. And the last one, my favorite one, is exercise.
According to a research , exercise is significantly beneficial to relieve the stress. When we are doing the exercise, our body naturally produces chemical which is called endorphins. It was discovered to improve the state of melancholy or anxiety. Doing exercise could shift the focus, and relieve the stress.
Here are three simple exercises, you can do it everywhere and anytime.
deep breathing : take deep breath for 5-10 minutes everyday,
this movement might relax your body and adjust breath.
relaxes muscles:
We can stretch our body to relax the muscles. From our toes to shoulder, try to hold each stretch for 20seconds. Stretching has many benefits. It helps circulation and relaxes our muscles, and that relaxes our mind. We can do it every night before sleep.
Swing arms:
Open both feet with the shoulder and wide, the weight is put in the middle of the body, The body is rocked back and forth naturally. Then stretch your arms forward to shoulder, and swing backward drastically. First, we might do it about 20-50 times a day, and increase the number gradually. At the most to 200 times. Besides, walk quickly everyday, even only for 15 minutes, it is a form of physical exercise.
As long as I hold the optimistic and positive attitude toward myself. Trying to sit with a peaceful mind, and to quiet down will make we think more clearly. Hoping we can find a good solution to reduce pressure.

Living in a Big City
It is very different from life in a city and in villages. I was born and grow up in the city, I enjoy the bright tempo, and convenient. It is quite easy that purchase in a big city, and also a kind of pleasure in the city life. Nevertheless, the environmental pollution is one of the most serious problems effect mankind. The polluted air would cause illness, and even death.
Music and I
There are varied kinds of music, which one do you like the most? Jazz, popular music, classical music, blues and so on. My favorite is popular music and blue. Every time I feel depressed or bored, I would listen to the music. Besides, I usually listen to the classical music while I am studying. It makes me feel peaceful and immersed. Without music, our lives would become insipid. Music surround us. Without music, our life would become lifeless.
My Partner, My Dog, My Do-do
Do-do was born in my home. His mother delivered three puppies in the evening. He was the smallest one in his brothers and sisters. After they were three months old, we sent other puppies to my relations except Do-do. Do-do was very mischievous and active. When I spoke to him, he always looked at me with his big cute eyes and wagged his tail. He always accompanied me, no matter I was happy or depressed. Two years ago, he was very sick. He died after I came home. I really miss him until now.
Christmas Party
Christmas is a special holiday for Christians. It is a religious festival. I am not a Christian, but I enjoy the joyful atmosphere. Some associations hold the festivities of Christmas. For example, there is a Christmas party on the Christmas Eve. We will exchange the gifts and send Christmas cards, or sing songs. There are many ways of making Christmas season.

My Regular Working Days
Although I am very busy in the office, there is still some routine in my daily activity. I get up at 8:00 every morning, I stagger to the bathroom to wash my face, and brush my teeth. As usual I leave to the office at 8:40. I arrive at my office before 9:20, and I will finish my breakfast in 10 minutes. Over 9 hours working, I will feel tired and hungry. I usually off work after 7:00 in the evening. During the dinner, I watch TV or the news. I usually go to bed before midnight, even if on the weekends.
Can You Do Anything in One Day
If a doctor declares you that you have one day left, what will you do? It is really a serious question. According to the cycle of life, all human beings will die. First, I may feel sorrow at the actuality. I may weep. I do not have much time, therefore I have to do something before I die. I think I will stay with my family until the last moment. I will let them know that how much I love them.
My Next Plan for Relaxation
Recently, I have made a decision. After graduating from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, I will look for a new job. But before I start the new career, I would like to go for a vacation. I planning for a island country, such as Boracay or Bali. I enjoy the SPA and the sun bath there. There are many ways in which people spend their vacations, no matter how I decide to spend our vacations, I will always do the proper planning and preparations before I start off.
Go for a Gastroscopy
Some people are very lucky who seldom be sick, but some of us have to. We go for an physical examinations regularly to prevention illnesses. I have an unusual stomach upset for three months. Every morning, I feel regurgitation. After I eat a meal, I also feel regurgitation. I decide to go for a gastroscopy. I am very nervous and I hope the result of examination will be ok.

My Way
There are many people who though not so talented as others. But they are always persistent, attentive. Finally, they can surpass more brilliant competitors. One year ago, I had determined to study English at Lunghwa University of Science and Technology. Sometimes I feel tired and want to give up, but I keep my faith to reach my goal. The power of the human will is amazing. I am not the one of the talented, so I study hard, and always look at the bright side of the things. Someday somehow I will be somebody!
Using the Cell Phone
I can not imagine if my life without the cell phone. It is an important instrument for me. I can call anyone, anywhere in the world without having to look for a land line phone. While I am waiting for the bus or train, I could chat with my friends by the cell phone. While I am taking the MRT, I could play the constructed games or surf the internet. Indubitably, it really proves usefulness while in emergencies. For instance, in a fire or in a traffic accident. The cell phone has become an indispensable instrument in the modern century.
During the Winter Days
Winters in Taipei are very cold during the evening and night. Recently, the temperature is getting lower and lower. I prefer autumn and winter. I always look forward to their approaching. Winter is the time when everyone is in a festive mood. I think it is because of Chinese New Year. I usually stay at home, or go to friend’s place. We usually read books, watch TV, or eat hot pot. I like to eat red bean soup which can warm up my body during the winter. Because of the cold winter weather outside, we would like to stay indoors. This is a nice time of the year.
My Brother’s Baseball Club
My big brother belonged to a baseball club in the senior high school. After he graduated, they are still keeping practice every weekend. Sometimes they attends the communal competition. All of the members love to play baseball, because it is a good exercise and an interesting activity. The members usually come to our place to watch baseball games, no matter the games of Major League Baseball or Chinese professional baseball league. Also, by playing baseball, they get to know each other better through a common interest. My brother seems quite happy to get along with his team members.
