Traveling

I have not been to travel for a long time, because I do not have enough time recently. I love traveling, because I can take a deep breath and release tension, and open my eyes to see the beautiful world.

I went to Japan with my colleagues last year, it is my former vacation. We went to Kyoto and Osaka, we ate Japanese noodle, raw seafood and a lot of traditional Japanese food. Japan is really a law and order country, and the buildings are very beautiful. Certainly, I had taken lots of pictures!

Eating Habbits

Three times a day we put food into our mouths. Most people know the importance of eating a healthy combination of fruit, vegetables, grains, fish to saitsfy our nutritional needs. Poor eating habits usually lead to weight problems. People overeat at dinner to make up for a light breakfast and no lunch, or they put on weight by snacking on high calorie junk food all day. Having a good eating habbit is very important, we can cut out fattening foods, quit junk food, usually count calories and get some exercise as well.

The Internet

Websurfing is one of the most popular activities on the net. Most of people enjoy going online to surf up something interesting to read or buy. We have to do a lot of things everyday, it is also spent looking for information, and spend more time sitting in front of our computers than ever before. Now, the internet has changed leisure time, shopping, and personal communication.

The Marriage

Sometimes an engagement or marriage ends because one person has been truly disloyal, has had an affair with someone else, but often it is because one person has failed to live uo to the expextations of th other. Of course, a good relationship must go through the stresses and strains of adjustment. Love of recent society has resulted in more and more parents divorcing. It's because they don't understand each other, and get married very soon - even just a month! In addition, some people make friends on the Internet. It is very dangerous to fall in love with a person who you have never met before. Don't get married too early, if you do not necessarily have to do.

About Sleep

People need to sleep, but that seem to vary quite a bit. For example, some people need a lot of sleep, while others seem to get along fine on five or six hours a night. Night people sleep in the next morning when it is possible. On a week night, but they feel that they function better at night, and are often very productive during the evening hours. When it is not, they try to find time to take a nap if they need it. A night person is often tired and cranky in the morning. But some people follow the maxim of "early to bed, early to rise," a bright and cheery morning person is ready to face the day even before having a cup of coffee. they are all about personal habbits.

Friends

Most people seem automatically to associate with people who are share our interests, and whose values and lifestyles are smallar to ours. We feel comfortable with them and enjoy their company. Usually friends need to spend time together, before they can discover their common interests and have a comfortable rapport with one another. If we find that we like to be in each other's company, then a friendship will develop between us. When we are depressed, we expect them to give us emotional support, and we are ready to help them whenever they need me.

Today’s necessaries

The computer is the most important invention in recent years. People use the computer and surf the web everyday, for example, I do most of my work on computers at the office, and use my notebook to check the e-mail and play facebook at home. Today, internet becomes very interesting and useful. You can read the daily news, type reports, google things, and even for entertainment, playing games, shopping, seeing the movies or reading books. You can do almost anything on the internet and the computer. Hundreds of thousands of people are involved in making and developing the latest technology.

About Appearance

Girls may have short and long hair, wear a suit or pants, or dress just about what they choose. Recently, we could see a lot of teenagers wear makeup on the street, they care about their appearance too much. If a woman wants to look more charming, she should not only wear fashionable clothes but should cultivate a good character. A person's character counts most because it comes from within and does not depend on appearance alone. No matter what happens, if a female cultivates good character, she will be more attractive than who merely wears fashionable clothes. Like the old saying goes “Beauty is but only skin deep.”

Losing weight plans

I am going to be my friend’s bridesmaid on Ded 26th, I am on a diet since two weeks ago. Refraining from eating high-calorie foods, such as chocolate, cake, hamburgers and so on. It is very difficult to do during the freezing days, because I always feel hungry easily after having a meal. After the wedding, I am going to eat big mac to comfort myself.

My new year resolution

2009 has been a very significant year though. In this year, I finished moving, changed my job, and started to be a student again. With the new year fast approaching, I am probably thinking about 2010 resolutions already.
After passing through the financial tsunami of 2009, you might also be thinking about the economy, and it is effect on you in the next year.
First, I will keep a budget every month. It takes a lot of willpower to stick at a budget, but I think If you track your expenses for just one week, you will finally have some idea of where all that money is going, and you might find a quick way to save.
Second is to lose weights, many people go on a diet in order to look good, they rack their brains on how to lose weight. They take special drugs or starve themselves, but these ways do harm to their bodies. Therefore, people should be advised by a doctor to achieve weight loss. I should do more exercises for health and fit body. I stop doing my favorite exercise Kendo for one year, because I had broken my ligament when I was in a competition. I start to receive the treatment, and my doctor forbids me to do any activities. But physically, I want to exercise routine to tone up the body, I want to lose more weights, I decide to do some exercise every Sunday evening . Besides, for healthy consideration, I must quit junk food and stop drinking the perl milk tea. Refraining from eating high-calorie foods, such as chocolate, cake, hamburgers and so on.
Keep the faith in yourself. Believe that you can do anything if you set your mind on the goal. Everything looks very bright in the future.

This is the lyrics of my favorite song-Man In The Mirror. Original Performer is Michael Jackson. First time, I heard this song when I was a teenager. I did not really understand what is the really meaning of the song. But now, I always listen when I am depressed. There's truth to the saying, “Don't give up halfway.” A man who gives up halfway will achieve nothing. No matter what we do, we should have the willpower to finish it.

Chinese New Year

The most important holiday in Taiwan is the lunar New Year. It is a long holiday in Januery or February. During this time, people who live away from home return to be with relatives and friends. On Chinese New Year's Eve, family sit around the table, eat a feast and talk to each other.
It's a merry time for children, because they can eat candy and cake and set off firecrackers. As red is a propitious color to the Chinese, adults put money in red envelopes. They give red envelopes to all of their children and hope that everything will be wonderful for them in the coming year.
Traditionally, Chinese are going to have a family reunion. Everyone visits relatives and friends and exchanges best wishes with them.

Ways to meet people in a new place

Meeting people is a very important skill in this modern society. Learning to meet new people takes time and practice. So consider these suggestions to meet people lasting friendships.

If you have an unfriendly countenance, people are less likely to be receptive to your friendship. So, Make eye contact and smile is the first step. Share things with others. Just be yourself and find people that share the same interests and sence of humor as you. Playing games....etc. Self introducing towards the end of the conversation, and you can chat with people to find comme interests.

Whatever you do, do not be afraid to introduce yourself and just let loose! Being put into a totally new place with totally new people is never an easy thing to handle, but it can definitely work out well for you if you are open and sociable. Learning to easily meet new people can open doors in life, not only doors to new relationships, but aslo to new friendships, new career opportunities.

My New School Life

I have long hoped to become a college student. I made up my mind to be a college student and specialize in English for several years.
English is a universal language, on the other hand, it make us to understand the world better. Knowing another foreign language means to possess another fortune. So I have to do my best, to work hard to fulfill my ambition. Though I have encountered many difficulties, I’ll never lose heart. And success will certainly come to me after all.

My Favorite Activity

My favorite activity is playing Kendo. I started playing when I was in college . I began playing it because the Japanese manga. So I joined the school clob.

Before I started go to Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, I praticed Kendo three times a week. It is good for me both physically and mentally. Physically, it helps me maintain my strength and endurance and keep my weight down, that is very important to women. Mentally, it provides me with an interesting challenge and is a good way to relieve any frustrations which I have from school or work. I really love it!

Birthday party

I attended my best friend’s surprise birthday party lastweek. It was held at Friday's restaurant to celebrate her thirty birthday.

That day after work , I took her to the restaurant on the Tun Hwa Southroad. While we were there, her other friends had arrived. After dinner, we all sang Happy Birthday to her. She was surprised and happy!

Afterwards we all ate birthday cake, chated and laughed until 11 o’clock. It was a great and memorable birthday party!

A Person Who Has Made A Difference

When I was a junior at Citi bank. There were a lot of encouragement courses, but a short film that I am impressed.
The short film is about an America bus driver- Sam. When he is on duty. He gives every passenger a friendly smile and a cheerful greeting when they board the bus. Along the way, he always sings songs and invites passengers to sing together. The bus fulls of laugh and joy. Whenever passengers get off the bus, he gives a sweet blessing. They will not forget the trip.
This is such a difficult thing to influence a stranger. Passengers forget the negative mood before.The bus driver inspires everyone, include me. That is just a simple job, but he decides a different way to do. Do not think you are negligible, everyone is important.

I went to see the documentary "This is it" The movie is about my favorite singer Michael Jackson,who was practicing for the concert of London. He was a singer, a dancer, a musician, a producer and a philanthropist.He inspired a lot of young people around the world.He had also made a lot of record that none can not achieve yet.He passed away on June 25th 2009,When I saw the news on the yahoo, I thought it is a stupid joke. But when I saw it again on the TV, I can speak a word for a few mintues.what a pity ! A talented person disappear, like a comet, blazing cross the evening sky gone too soon.....

Introducing Myself

My name is Vicky Fan. I was bron in Taipei city and still live here. I graduated from Chi Lee College of Business. My major was Accounting. I am interesting in English, that is why I am here.

There are 4 people in my family. My mother , two brothers and I. I am the only one doughter. My father pass away when I was seventeen. My mother is a housewife. My older brother works at China airlines in Taoyuan. Considering the distance, they moved to Taoyuan six years ago. I did not move to live with, because my job, and my friends are all in Taipei. I rent an apartment with my colleague.

I work in the bank since I finished school, but I am looking for a new job now!

In my free time, I always go to practice Kendo, or see movies with my friends. My favorite country is Japan, I have been to Japan for four times, but I can not speak Japanese, that's weird! I hope I can take my mother to Kyoto someday.
